Ghoulishly Good Cupcakes

Active time: 30 min. Total time: 50 min. Serves: 24

  • 1 pkg. (22 oz.) gluten-free yellow cake mix, like King Arthur
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup vanilla or cream cheese frosting
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz.) black decorating icing, like Wilton

Heat oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Prepare cake mix as package directs, adding chocolate chips. Divide batter among 24 lined muffin wells. Bake 20 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Let cool. In microwave-safe bowl, microwave frosting 15 sec. or until melted; stir well.

Dip top of each cupcake into frosting; shake off excess. Attach round tip, like Wilton #3 , to icing tube. Pipe eyes, nose and spooky mouth onto each cupcake.
